This chapter explains which of the Mac's serial ports you should connect your PortDoubler to. Look through the three examples below and pick one of the configurations that best matches your setup.
 
Configuration#1 - Modem Port
The first example should be used if you want to share
the modem port of your mac with a fax modem and an
additional serial device other than a printer (Ex. PDA,
Digital Camera, Scanner or a MIDI device). For a full

Configuration#2 - Printer Port
The second example should be used if you are going to
share the printer port of your mac with two printers. You
can connect both a serial printer (inkjet/label) and a
localtalk printer (laser printer) to the PortDoubler at the
